History
Profacts was founded by dr. Stijn De Rammelaere and Prof. dr. Timothy Desmet in 2006. The philosophy of the start-up was to add practical market research experience and academic scientific research knowledge in a powerful mix of added-value research solutions. Stijn worked as a Research Director at Synovate (previously Columbus Quanti) and Timothy as a researcher at Ghent University and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). At this point Timothy is a guest professor at Ghent University and this way Profacts keeps the pulse on the newest academic insights in order to continuously innovate its research solutions. After 12 months we hired our first employee and today - three years following the start-up - Profacts has 8 people working full-time. The first years of Profacts are characterized by a strong growth. This growth can be seen in revenues, number of employees and number of clients.
